So I recently saw french-german movie The Countess directed by Julie Delpy and was really and truly moved by the way she depicted the infamous countess Bathory. She sees her as a passionate and free woman, who falls into madness and violence after having been abandoned by her younger lover.
She spent her last 4 years of life imprisoned into her castle.

This image is dedicated to anyone who ever felt passion... and to those who inspire it.
